Busan: common questions

How do you get to Busan from the UK?

There are no direct flights from the UK. Fly to Seoul and take the KTX fast train, which takes under three hours, or connect through a hub to Busan's Gimhae airport.

Is Busan worth visiting as well as Seoul?

Yes. It's more relaxed than Seoul, with beaches, seafood, temples by the sea and a coastline you can walk.

How many days do you need in Busan?

Three to four days covers the main sights and a beach day. Add a day for Gyeongju.

When is the best time to visit Busan?

Spring and autumn are best, with mild, clear weather. Summer is hot and humid, with the busiest beaches.
